Support – Financial Support

You may be concerned that staying on in education after your GCSEs will cause you or your family financial hardship. You will, however, be able to apply for financial support in a number of ways.

If you live in Leicester or Leicestershire and more than three miles from College you will be able to apply to your Local Authority for a subsidised bus pass. More information with links directly to the Local Authorities can be found on our dedicated Transport section:

Essential textbooks and materials are provided free of charge, unless you keep them after your course. You will be expected to pay towards the cost of field trips and visits, although the charges for these are kept to a minimum. Examination fees are normally paid by the College.

All students can apply to the 16-19 Bursary Fund for help with the extra costs caused by deciding to stay in education. The Student Services team are available to offer immediate help, support and advice on finance and welfare issues.
