National Mixed Badminton Plate Winners

QE’s Mixed Badminton team fought off strong opposition to win the National Plate Finals at Kettering yesterday.
Treble Champions!

The 1st XI Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College football team completed the ‘treble’ last night winning the Leicestershire Schools League, adding to the success of winning the Leicestershire Sixth Form League and the County Cup.
Leicester City Colleges Varsity 2013

On Wednesday the 17th of April 2013 the four Leicester City Colleges; QE, Regent, Gateway and Leicester College, met at the University of Leicester Sports Centre to take part in Varsity, a multi-sports day event with tournaments in men’s and women’s 5 aside football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s badminton, men’s cricket and mixed volleyball. Most succesful MUNGA performance by QE students

On the weekend of the 16th March 40 delegations from 17 different colleges arrived at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College in Birmingham for the Model United Nations General Assembly. What followed was three days of debate in which QE was on the front line, striving to solve the world’s most complex international issues.

Sixth Form Colleges Association – Award for International Understanding

Currently studying A-levels in History, English and Spanish at QE, Kyle Turakhia (pictured far right) is a worthy bronze medal winner of this prestigious inaugural national award presented at the launch of the Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) at the House Of Commons.
QE students selected for U18 England Squad

Four QE students have been selected as part of the England Rugby U18 squad to play Wales on Sunday 10th March.
Neale Farthing (forward), Will Owen (forward), George Tressider (back) and Tom Hudson (back) are all members of the Leicester Tigers Academy of which QE is a key educational partner.
