Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College is an independent self-governing Sixth Form College within the further education (FE) sector. General FE and Sixth Form Colleges were taken out of the schools sector by the Further and Higher Education Act of 1992. College funding for educating its 16-19 year-old students derives from the Government, via the Young People’s Learning Agency.
The governing body of the College, known as the Corporation, consists of 20 members. It contains representatives of staff, students and people engaged in business, the professions and other occupations. The Principal of the College is also a member ex-officio.
Please contact the Corporation through their Clerk, Peter Butcher.
