Admissions – Admissions Procedure

Oct 2012

Prospectus for 2013 entry available. The prospectus will be distributed to all publicly-funded secondary schools in Leicester. Students at other schools may request one from the College’s Admissions Office or pick one up at Open Day.

Oct – Nov 2012

Through your school you will receive information and guidance about the options available to you post-16. This may include visits or presentations from college and work-based learning representatives.

17 Nov 2012

Open Day: You are invited to visit the College, meet staff and students and find out more. Parents and Carers are very welcome too. Try not to miss this important opportunity! If you have any difficulty, please get in touch with staff in our Admissions Office on (0116) 223 1968, who will be able to arrange an alternative time for you to visit the College.

Dec 2012 – Jan 2013

Applications: You should complete the Leicester and Leicestershire Common Application for Post-16 learning. Students at school in Leicester City and Leicestershire will do this online via their school. Elsewhere forms are available on request from the College’s Admissions Office or find out more through your school.

31 Jan 2013

Your application form should be completed and dispatched to your first and second choices of college by this date.

Feb – Mar 2013

Interviews: You will have an interview to discuss your provisional choice of courses and to give you a chance to have your questions answered. If QE is your first choice of institution and you haven’t been notified of an interview date by Friday 8th March please contact us.

17 Apr 2013

Places will be offered to all successful applicants by this date

10 May 2013

You will need to confirm acceptance of your offer by this date

May – Jun 2013

GCSE Examinations. Good luck!

22 Aug 2013

GCSE Examination Results. Enrollment begins from this date.

You’ll be given individual appointment times on various days to come in and meet your enrollment advisor, discuss courses with teachers, finalise your programme and get to know the College. It is essential that you are available for this process.
