Admissions
In order to gain a place at the College, students must meet the following;
i) Offer Requirements
The College receives more applications than it has places available. When deciding to make offers, the College considers:
- The reference provided by the applicant’s school or college; we pay particular attention to information on attendance, punctuality and attitude to study
- Predicted GCSE grades; we calculate a points score from the grades for English Language, Maths and the five best other subjects
- The applicant’s school; when necessary, priority is given to applicants attending publicly-funded schools in the city of Leicester
ii) Minimum Entry Requirements
The minimum grades a student needs to have achieved at GCSE in order to have a good chance of success on the courses we offer. They apply to all students who accept an offer from the College.
AS/A-level programme: Students must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, representing at least four different subjects, including English Language.
Applicants must also meet the specific course entry requirements, set out in the College Prospectus and downloadable from this web site.
The entry requirements for the BTEC National Diploma in Sport (taught in collaboration with Regent College) will be confirmed in specific course literature when available.
